Our luxurious 32 metre high speed wave piercing catamaran exemplifies maximum viewing opportunities, stability & comfort. The ‘MV 2000’ is the largest whale watching vessel on the Gold Coast and with 5 spacious viewing areas you will definitely catch all of the action.

Humpback whales migrate from Antarctica to the sub-tropical coastal waters of Australia to give birth and mate from late May to early November. Humpback whales frequently perform spectacular aerial leaps and 'sing' long complex 'songs' during the breeding season.
Each year at least 12500 humpbacks migrate 5000km to the eastern coast of Australia. Humpback Whales are mammals, are warm blooded, breath air, bear live young, and nurse them with milk. The pectoral fins of the Humpback Whale are up to 5 metres in length, one third of the animal’s total length.

This tour includes a half day whale watching and marine life experience. Complimentary freshly baked muffins and tea/coffee are available on board the ship whilst you marvel at the spectacular sights of Surfers Paradise skyline and breaching Humpback Whales, dolphins and sea turtles. Optional Tour to McLarens Landing, South Stradbroke Island for an extra $10p/p. Lunch options available on the Island. Sail home on our Tallship The Sir Henry Morgan and arrive back at Mariners Cove Marina by 4.30pm.
